IR 20H40NGSX
The Ingersoll Rand Model 20H40NGSX is a simplex self-contained compressor package that includes carefully matched components that are pre-piped, prewired, tested and proven reliable in operation. With an inlet gas pressure of 20 psig, the 20H40NGSX will have a flow capacity of 58 scfm and a design pressure of 5,000 psig.
Compressor
The package shall include one (1) air-cooled Ingersoll Rand natural gas compressor engineered specifically for refueling applications. The multistage compressor is complete with cooling fan, inter-stage intercoolers and aftercoolers, ASME relief valves and separators.
Electric Motor Drive
The package shall include one (1) 1800 rpm, totally enclosed, explosion-proof electric motor rated for 230/460 volt, 3 phase, 60 Hz. The motor shall be complete with V-belt drive, belt tightener, full-voltage motor starter and totally enclosed metal belt guard with antistatic belts. Alternative electrical configurations are available upon request.
Inlet System
A threaded Inlet gas connection complete with pulsation tank, coalescing filter and solenoid valves is standard on each package.
Automatic Condensate Drain System
An automatic condensate drain system regularly dumps liquids collected by separators into a gas recovery tank at user-selected intervals.
Gas Recovery System
Closed loop vent recovery system with ASME tank, ASME relief valve, pressure gauge and manual drain valve.
Safety Controls
The Ingersoll Rand package includes the following electric shutdown controls as standard trim:
Low/high inlet (suction) pressure, high discharge pressure, discharge control pressure, high fourth stage discharge temperature, excessive motor starts, low crankcase oil level, main motor/starter overload and emergency shutdown switch.
Discharge System
The discharge system includes priority (back pressure) valve and coalescing filter with stainless steel discharge tubing.
Control Panel with PLC
The Ingersoll Rand package includes a Frank W. Murphy CNG Level II control panel for automatic start/stop operation. The panel, as well as the entire package, is rated for NEC Class 1, Group D, Div 2. The panel includes the following: Murphy Swichgauges, LCD annunciator panel (system status display) including first out alarm, hour meter, keyed off/auto switch displayed in a weather tight panel. Design Standards
Ingersoll Rand’s package design complies with the NFPA 52 Standard for CNG Vehicular Fuel Systems. All electric devices and wiring comply with NFPA 70 National Electrical Code and are NEC rated Class 1, Group D, Division 2.
Testing
Compressor cylinders are hydrostatically tested to 1.5 times working pressure. Compressor block test include immersion leak and functional air testing.
Shipment
The complete compressor package is shipped fully assembled on a rigid structural steel baseplate complete with lifting slots and eyes. The package is ready to install with simple electrical connection and interconnections for gas inlet and gas discharge.
Documentation
Ingersoll Rand provides three (3) complete Operation and Maintenance manuals detailing the package. This includes wiring diagrams, flow sheets, dimensional prints, operation and servicing instructions and parts breakdown.
Aftermarket Parts and Service Support
Ingersoll Rand inventories genuine IR aftermarket parts to support equipment in the field. These parts are warehoused in the United States and are readily available for shipment.
